2.0, touted as India’s costliest film, is running successfully for the third week. Buzz has it that Shankar’s pet project is still reigning at the Chennai box office.
It has been three weeks since Rajinikanth’s mega-budget film 2.0 hit the screens. However, it has managed to stay strong at the box office, despite heavy competition from other releases.
According to reports, the film has yet again topped the Chennai city box office collection. Till now, it has collected about Rs 22.37 crore.
Recently, the film touched Rs-700 crore mark worldwide with ease. The sci-fi venture is raking in enormous amounts of money from all over the world. It has been allegedly screened in more than 100 screens in US.
Starring Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, the film also has Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey important roles.
2.0 is about how Chitti saves the world from a peculiar supervillain, who has the unique ability to control cell phones.
AR Rahman has composed the music for the pet project of director Shankar. The film production started way back in 2015, but it took about three years to see the light of the day.
