A popular Chinese live streamer and blogger known as ‘seaside girl Little Seven’ shared a 50-second-long video on the popular short-video platform Kuaishou, which quickly went viral.
The woman can be seen grimacing in pain as she desperately attempts to remove the animal’s eight tentacles from her skin.
According to the MailOnline, the mature giant Pacific octopus uses its 280 suckers on each arm to defend itself from potential attacks.
It therefore tried to fend off the woman, attaching its suckers tightly to her face as she prepared herself to eat it.
While she remains calm at the start of the video telling fans ‘look how hard its sucking’, the blogger starts to cry as she realises it won’t let go.
You can watch the footage here:
Using all her strength, the woman laments ‘I can’t remove it’, also describing it as ‘painful’ to the camera.
Eventually the octopus gives up and lets go, leaving the blogger grinning informing her following ‘I’ll eat it in the next video’ as she proudly holds the animal in her hands.
The smile quickly disappears from her face though as she realises the octopus has left a small bloody wound of her cheek, crying ‘my face is disfigured’.
The report adds the blogger is famous for her love of eating seafood, and has shared a variety of videos which feature her eating the cuisine.
Ironically in a previous video she complained ‘why have none of my clips ended up on the trending topics chart’, clearly keen to achieve fame.
She may think the pain was worth it then!
